How to Book

To book any of our safari packages, simply fill in our online booking form with the respective safari code plus any other information required and submit.

Or send an email to; info@liontrailssafaris.com or liontrailssafaris@gmail.com. Please remember to indicate the travel date, number of days, budget preferred itinerary, and the number of persons traveling. We will respond to your request within 24 hours.

Note: Once you book any safari with us, we will secure your booking and send you an invoice detailing the payment details.

Payment Policy

Due to the pre-payment policy applied by our suppliers (hotels, Lodges & flights), we require a 30% deposit on booking confirmation and the balance (70%) payable 30 days before the commencement of the safari.

For peace of mind, we do allow a 50% deposit on booking confirmation, and a balance payable in cash on arrival!

NB: We always pre-pay our suppliers to enhance efficiency and good working relationships.

We have 3 modes of payment:

  1. By bank wire/electronic transfer to our bank account here in Nairobi Kenya.  The funds take 2-3 working days to reach our account!
  2. PayPal – This mode attracts a 4.8% receiving fee charge on the amount payable.  The funds are received instantly!
  3. Credit Card – This mode also attracts a 4.5% bank surcharge on the amount payable.  Due to fraud & related issues, we only charge the physical card in the presence of the actual cardholder!


Travel carries certain risks and Lion Trails Safaris Ltd acts only as an agent of clients in matters related to hotels, sightseeing, restaurants, and all transportation from the services included in the tour. We purchase the services from suppliers and other independent contractors without warranties and representations from them. Thus such services are subjected to its control. Therefore you are advised to take adequate insurance coverage as we (Lion Trails Safaris Ltd) and its agencies accept no responsibility for any personal illness, injury, delays loss, or damages from any cause whatsoever.


We reserve the right to alter arrangements of the route or to cancel the operation of a scheduled safari should conditions necessitate.

We also reserve the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of any safari at any time.  In which event an equitable amount will be refunded.

Cancellation Policy

If a safari is canceled, the following cancellation penalties apply:

  • 45 to 60 days – full refund less US$ 150 administration fees
  • 30 to 45 days – 35% of the Safari price
  • 10 to 30 days – 50% of the Safari price
  • Under 10 days and no show up – NO REFUND
  • In case of reduced length of stay – NO REFUND

Refunds and claims

Refunds are not made for any missed services, except for verifiable extenuating circumstances.

For verifiable claims to be considered, they must be received in writing within 30 days of the termination of the program and be accompanied by supporting documentation and/or a statement from the Operating Company verifying the claim.

Any adjustment considered will be based on the actual price of the services involved and not on a per diem basis. Adjustments will not be made for unused sightseeing trips or meals.

Lion Trails Safari Ltd will not accept any liability for any claims that are not received within 30 days of the termination of your travel program. All claims for days missed while traveling should be made in writing within 30 days of the termination of the program.
