Located 7 Kilometers from Nairobi city, Nairobi Animal Orphanage is a refuge andrehabilitation centre for wild animals found abandoned or injured throughout Kenya. Animals received at the facility, undergo a thorough medical examination, followed by treatment, before entering into an appropriate feeding and rehabilitation program. Continue to the adjacent Nairobi Safari Walk, gives visitor a clear picture of what to look forward to in Kenyan National Parks. Visitors walk along the raised boardwalk, observing from close proximity the wonderful variety of wildlife in each eco-system. The raised wood walkways provide souring views out over the shimmering stretches of savannah in the Nairobi National Park with observation points down onto waterholesand the wildlife that frequent them. Meandering through 27 acres of wilderness, Safari Walk offers a neatly encapsulated walking safari.

The tour takes you through the Central Business District viewing the shopping center, City market, parliament buildings, Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC) and the nairobi_cityRailway station & The Nairobi Museum & snakepark situated a few minutes from Nairobi city center. The Museum houses extensive ornithological collections, animals and ethnographic displays of various tribes in Kenya. Within the national Museum grounds is a snake park where visitors can view life snakes such as Black Mamba and other reptiles.

0930hrs pick at your city hotel and transfer to David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage for a chance to get close to the baby elephants..... the feeding of these adorable babies is at 1100hrs - 1200hrs. Besides feeding,washing and walking the babies, Daphne and her dedicated staff of keepers provide emotional support to the orphans as they raise them to be released back into the wild when they are ready. It is worth a visit to the park to see the young elephants interacting with their keepers – playing, taking mud baths and being fed with milk. This is a rare sight to watch and a most memorable way to get up close to the babies and observe their playful habits, something which is not possible or even safe during your afari in the wild. Lunch will be on own arrangements. 1300hrs transfer to Nairobi National Park for an afternoon exteded game drive. The park is a unique ecosystem by being the only protected area in the world close to a capital city. The park is located only 7 km from Nairobi city centre.The savannah ecosystem comprise of different vegetation types. Open grass plains with scattered acacia bush are predominant. To the south are the Athi-Kapiti Plains and Kitengela migration corridor which are important wildlife dispersal areas during the rain season. Man-made dams within the park have added a further habitat, favourable to certain species of birds and other aquatic biome.Afterwards enjoy your picnic lunch box in designated area inside the park. Afternoon explore the park further..... Major wildlife attractions are the Black rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, buffaloes, Giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, elands and diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded. Other attractions include the Ivory burning site Monument and the walking trails at hippo pools. Return toyour city hotel at approx. 1800hrs
